5x TIP

When teaching the 5x table, try and teach it with the clock. This means your child will learn how to tell the time and can associate the five times table with quarter past, half past and quarter to and the whole way round. You can also then explain 60 is the number of minutes in an hour etc. Everything coincides. Then you can talk about North, East, South and West. The connections are endless.
