ILLINOIS

Wow, we have arrived in Springfield Illinois. It is beautiful. The house we are staying in is on the side of the lake called Lake Springfield. There are wild deer and possums and racoons. I feel like we are in another world. We are going fishing today on the lake. Isabella has been given her own fishing rod, only in America do they sell Barbie fishing rods! Then we are off to see Abraham Lincoln's Museum. I can't believe how much there is to see in America and learn. Even in the smaller areas. Isabella is enjoying herself so much that she is waking at 5am every day. She doesn't want to leave America, I have to say I agree. It is wonderful and we are looking forward to coming back and doing another road trip for longer next year.
